High design | Low waste
Since our launch in 2014 Druthers has only worked with factories we know and respect with a focus on craftsmanship and fair treatment of its workers. Our knits are made in the Tokyo and Osaka regions of Japan. Cut & sew is done in Porto, Portugal, and New York City. Our fabrics are made in France, Portugal, Japan, and the USA.
We strongly feel that a main component to sustainability is the length of a product's lifecycle. We are able to increase this lifecycle by mixing high quality craftsmanship with high quality yarns and fabrics. Druthers is always striving to use sustainable yarns and fabrics, this includes long staple organic cottons, recycled cotton/poly blends, natural dyes, recycled packaging, eco-friendly shipping options, and more.
These photographs were taken at our knitting facilities in Tokyo, Japan by Druthers founder Adam Gianotti.
We look forward to sharing more photographs and background on our factory partnerships each season.
